An OceanGate ride is coming to Disney World. It will replace Mission: SPACE and will be called Mission: OceanGate.

This will be a retheme of the existing ride, with two versions, green and orange. Mission: OceanGate is a simulator ride that puts you in the seat of the OceanGate submarine as you pilot it around the ocean.

However, things don’t go to plan when you lose contact with mission control. It’s up to you and your crew to save your sinking ship. You will need to carefully use your Logitech game controllers to try and navigate this challenge and bring your OceanGate ship back up to sea level, or risk your submarine imploding.
This new ride creates a thrilling choose your own adventure situation and has multiple potential endings, much like Smugglers Run over in Hollywood Studios. The green and orange versions of the ride will be the same, however, the intensity will be different.
The orange version will be far more intense, especially if your ship implodes. In fact, riders will feel like their ship is actually imploding due to the amount of G-forces on them. Mission: OceanGate is going to be a more thrilling, more advanced, and more relevant theme than Mission: SPACE.
So far, this new ride has a lot of excitement around it, especially with the fact that if things go wrong, you will metaphorically die on the ride.
