According to an official statement, “Due to the ongoing war in the Middle East, we have decided to remove the song ‘I Ran’ from Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind indefinitely. Many guests found the song to be insensitive during these times and traumatizing.”

An internal source has confirmed to us that when the war is over, Disney will likely bring the song back to the ride. They are even exploring alternatives to replace it for the time being.

Some of the top options are “Never Going to Give You Up” by Rick Astley, “All Star” by Smashmouth, and Disney is even considering something more modern like “Drop it Like it’s Hot” by ya boy Snoop Dogg.

However, guests aren’t thrilled with this list of alternative songs as they don’t feel like most of them fit the vibe of Cosmic Rewind. However, they do admit that these songs are absolute bangers.

Most people don’t think Disney should remove “I Ran” from the ride in the first place, as it has absolutely no connection to the country Iran or the war. Meanwhile, some people are very happy about this move by Disney.

They felt like the song was extremely insensitive during this war, and it should have been removed as soon as the first attack happened.
