A Disney World guest shared their horror story while riding Living With The Land. What started as a ride malfunction, turned into a nightmare. Here is their story:

I was the last rider of the night on Living With The Land. The park was so empty that I got a boat to myself. I waved goodbye to the cast member working the ride and set sail. As I passed the yellow house with the barking dog, I heard a loud crash come from the boat: it sounded like something broke.

Seconds later, the boat stopped moving, and the lights went out for a few seconds and turned back on. I thought the ride was going to restart, but the boat didn’t budge. 10 minutes had passed, and that’s when things got scary. All of the sound on the ride stopped–it went silent.

There was still no announcement the ride had broken down or that anything was wrong. I started calling for help but to no avail. So I waited another 10 minutes, and still nothing. I was getting extremely worried and decided to take matters into my own hands.

I got off the boat to walk back to the entrance. I know that’s against the rules, but the ride was completely shut down; the only thing on was the lights. I figured they closed it for the night and forgot about me. Plus, I knew the ride well enough and assumed I could navigate my way back to the beginning of the ride.

As I walked past the yellow house, I heard a woman screaming behind the door. She was yelling, “Help me! Help me!” This sent chills down my spine and goosebumps up and down my skin. I always assumed the house was a facade, and there was nothing behind the walls. I was torn: should I try and help, or just run?

My hands were shaking, but I decided to go up to the door. The screaming continued–this woman was clearly in distress, and I was the only one who could help her. I grabbed the handle of the door, turned it, and flung it open. You will never believe what I saw.

Part 2 Of This Horror Story

There was a woman strapped to a chair at the end of a dimly lit hallway. She yelled to me, “Hurry, please save me before he comes back.” I asked her who she was talking about and she said she didn’t know who he was.

All she remembers is that she was the last rider on Living with the Land three days ago. As she was passing the yellow house, she heard a loud crash come from the boat as if something broke. Then the boat stopped moving and the lights went out for a few seconds and came back on.

Eventually, all of the sounds on the ride turned off as well. She waited on the boat for something to happen and nothing did. That’s when she heard screaming coming from behind the door of the farmhouse. Someone was yelling for help.

She told me that she couldn’t just sit there knowing someone was in danger, so she got off the ride and ran over to the house to help them. She opened the door and it immediately shut behind her. Then a man put his hand over her mouth and the next thing she remembered was waking up, strapped to the chair.

That’s when I realized I was in trouble and needed to go find help. Then, the door slammed behind me. I turned around and saw a tall man standing in the doorway, blocking my only exit.

He slowly approached me with a large knife in one hand and a rag in the other. In a deep and raspy voice, he said to me, “Don’t be a hero”.
