Disney is now breathalyzing all adults at EPCOT. This is to reduce the amount of intoxicated people inside the park.
Disney is now installing breathalyzer checkpoints scattered throughout EPCOT World Showcase. These checkpoints will be spaced out every three countries. They will be similar to the security checkpoints at the entry of the parks.
In order to pass through one of these checkpoints, guests will need to blow less than a 0.08% BAC. If they don’t blow less than that, they will be restricted to the country they are in until they blow less than 0.08%.
On top of all of this, Disney will have officers walking around, randomly breathalyzing people. They will be on the lookout for guests that appear to be impaired. If they blow higher than 0.08%, the officer will make sure the guest doesn’t have any more alcohol until their BAC goes down.
Disney is breathalyzing guests to make the guest experience better for all guests. However, a lot of people are very upset about these new checkpoints. After all, many Disney Adults go to EPCOT to get hammered.
With Disney testing their alcohol level, these adults worry that they can’t have as much fun at Disney if they can’t get wasted in EPCOT. It will be interesting to see how long Disney will breathalyze guests before this ends.
