An African American pavilion is coming to EPCOT. The new pavilion will allow guests to immerse themselves in African American food, culture, and more.
It will highlight the history, achievements, and contributions of African Americans to the U.S. and the world. This will be the first pavilion at EPCOT dedicated to a cultural heritage within the United States, joining World Showcase’s existing lineup of country-based experiences.
There will be immersive exhibits, live entertainment, and dining inspired by African American cuisine. In fact, guests will be able to explore interactive displays on key historical moments, from the Harlem Renaissance to the Civil Rights Movement.
You will also be able to celebrate the influence of African American artists, musicians, and innovators. A major highlight will be a soulful restaurant featuring Southern and Creole-inspired dishes, along with a live jazz lounge paying tribute to legends like Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. Famous rappers will also be recognized like Kanye West, Lil’ Wayne, and Kendrick Lamar.
Additionally, Disney will incorporate storytelling elements from African American folklore and literature into a thrilling water ride. The pavilion aims to be a meaningful addition to EPCOT’s mission of promoting cultural understanding and appreciation.
It will be located next to the existing American pavilion and is set to open for Black History Month in 2026. Overall, many people are excited for Disney’s new African American Pavilion.
