Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is closing indefinitely due to an E. coli outbreak. This is the first time ever that a Disney ride has closed because of this bacteria.

An internal source confirmed this was caused by multiple people taking dumps in the ride water. According to an official report, Disney tests their water for E. coli every single day. This includes water rides, pools, hot tubs, lakes, and any other place they have water on property.

This is to keep guests safe and healthy. In fact, symptoms of an E. coli infection include watery diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pains, low fever, and fatigue. Clearly, Disney doesn’t want their guests to be impacted by E. coli because of the negative health consequences.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure tested at an unsafe level of E. coli in the water and it will not reopen until these levels return to normal. Some familiar with the matter suggest that the ride will reopen in a matter of days, while others are concerned that the ride will be closed for months while they attempt to solve the E. coli problem.

The good news for Disney is that if a Disney+ subscriber dies because of this E. coli outbreak in their theme park, they cannot be held liable. This of course is due to their terms and conditions on Disney+, which prevents them from being liable for any death they may have caused.
