The Magic Kingdom will open at 5 AM starting in 2026. The goal is to give guests more time to enjoy the park.

What’s cool is that for resort guests, Disney will offer extra magic hours starting as early as 4 in the morning. What this means is that guests will likely be arriving at 3 to 3:30 AM for rope drop.

Overall, people are not sure about this news and the Magic Kingdom opening at 5 in the morning. On one hand, they are excited to get even more time inside the theme park and to get on more rides. They are also excited to see the sun rise over the castle every morning.

However, many think that 4 AM, for hotel guests, is just too early to wake up. They would prefer Disney to extend its hours in the evening instead of in the morning. Cast Members also don’t like this because it means some of them will need to arrive at 1 AM to start their shift now.

On the other hand, some people are excited about this because they know the parks won’t be super busy since it’s so early. They believe that they will be able to maximize the total rides they can get on during these early hours.

So far, only the Magic Kingdom will open at 5 AM in 2026. However, if this is successful, Disney will likely extend it to Hollywood Studios, then EPCOT, and lastly Animal Kingdom.
