Riders were stuck on it’s a small world for 24 hours. Yesterday, a malfunction forced Disney to shut the ride down. However, one of the boats was trapped in a spot that wasn’t accessible to cast members.

They called in the fire department to make an emergency rescue and they were unable to do anything either. Disney then called in mechanics to fix the ride and move the stranded boat so the people could be rescued.

Unfortunately, they needed to wait until the next day for a part to be delivered. This led the guests to be stuck on the ride over night. Luckily, Disney kept the animatronics and music on the entire time in order to comfort those that were stuck on it’s a small world.

On top of that, Disney provided them with food and drinks at a discounted rate due to the inconvenience. We interviewed one guest who was stuck and they said, “This was by far the worst day of my life. The cast members kept checking on us and saying there was nothing they could do to help. On top of that they decided to keep the music playing to comfort us, but it did just the opposite.”

The guest seemed rather traumatized, but mentioned that Disney gave them a $20 gift card for the inconvenience. Also, when the ride was finally fixed, Disney offered them the opportunity to ride it again, but all guests passed on the opportunity.
