A Planned Parenthood is coming to Disney World. It will be located on Main Street USA with a view of Cinderella Castle.
Disney is doing this to “provide more healthcare options to the public.” By putting it inside Disney World, they can provide hundreds of millions of guests the opportunity to access their services.
On top of that, all of the employees will be dressed like Disney characters. For people who come in for drop-in visits, they will not get to choose what character they work with. However, if you schedule an appointment ahead of time, you can choose your character.
For example, if you want gender affirmation care from Gaston, you can select that ahead of time. It’s worth noting that not all Disney characters are available. Disney has a list of 20 characters that you can choose from, which is still a very robust list.
However, as you might imagine, this is a controversial decision. In fact, many people are wondering if Governor DeSantis is going to crack down on Disney harder because of the new Planned Parenthood.
Many people worry that adding one is not appropriate for a family place like Disney World. However, others think that this is a great and fun way to provide necessary medical care. They think it is great that Disney is encouraging a positive and welcoming environment with this new addition.
