Pixar Announces Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone

If a company knows about acquisitions, it’s Disney. In fact, they are one of the largest companies in the world because of these acquisitions. Some of their largest acquisitions are Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar. All three they are finding unique ways to ruin. Could it be due to letting AI write these terrible movies? Probably. Well, Pixar is now releasing a brand new Harry Potter movie, an animated version of Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone.

Pixar is known for making some of the best movies and the saddest. For example, Cars is often touted as the best movie ever. Meanwhile, Toy Story 5 will be the saddest movie ever. It’s quite the spectrum for Pixar. However, many people are expecting the new Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone to be the best Pixar movie of all time.

Disney Acquires Rights to Harry Potter

Harry Potter is one of the most beloved movie franchises of all time. In fact, it’s almost as popular as Shrek, which Disney acquired the rights to here. Disney is pulling the same move for Harry Potter but in a slightly different capacity. Essentially, The Walt Disney Company has acquired the rights to Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone. They will be reproducing the movie as an animated Pixar film.

This is similar to what Disney is doing with Sharknado 7 and the Friends reboot. Acquiring the rights to Harry Potter allows them to make Harry Potter movies without acquiring the entire property. This costs Disney a lot less money, while still allowing them to make hit movies using the popular book franchise. J.K Rowling also wins because she is getting a large check from the mouse. In fact, many are expecting it to be the highest-grossing movie of all time.

While we don’t know the details of the agreement, the first movie to be produced will be an animated version of Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone by Pixar. It will use Pixar-style animation and will be incredibly detailed and breathtaking. As noted above, Pixar is recreating Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone using their style of animation. People are thrilled for this new Harry Potter movie to come out. According to an internal source, this new movie will follow the same storyline as the original movie. However, it will be entirely animated, allowing for more special effects and more wizardry. 

While many tout the Harry Potter movies for their great use of special effects, there is no denying that an animated version of the movie will be more magical. It will take many of the elements of the movie and make them far better. With animation, there are no creative bounds. Also, given how creative Pixar is, they will certainly be able to make a top-tier movie that people will be watching over and over again.

So far, fans are extremely excited about Pixar’s version of Harry Potter. In fact, it is the most talked about film right now. Based on early interest, many people are expecting Pixar to recreate the entire Harry Potter book and movie series. It’s also likely that they will create a spinoff series if the films are as successful as expected. Only time will tell us how successful these films will be, but out of the gate, people are excited.
