He will debut at his new meet and greet inside Animal Kingdom in December. The idea behind this is to capitalize on and memorialize the famous TikTok squirrel. Disney saw the love for this squirrel and wanted to offer fans a place to meet him, get his autograph, and take a picture.

Our source confirmed that Disney has also acquired rights to Fred The Racoon as well. These characters will be cast members in costumes, much like Mickey and Minnie Mouse for example. According to our source, Disney is also looking at making a Peanut The Squirrel ride inside Disney World.

However, in order to capitalize on his popularity quickly, they would retheme an existing ride rather than build a new one. TriceraTop Spin is the most likely candidate for this retheme. That is due to its lack of complexity and the fact that its already scheduled to close in January 2025.

The ride would be the same, except the dinosaurs you ride in would be Peanut The Squirrel. This news has Disney fans and Peanut The Squirrel fans both excited. This could be the start of Disney capitalizing on trending characters.
