You can now go hunting on Kilimanjaro Safaris in Animal Kingdom. Disney is allowing guests to hunt giraffes, lions, gazelles, hippos, and more on the ride.

The idea is to allow people to have an exotic hunting experience without having to travel all the way to Africa. However, this is quite an expensive expedition.

It’s only $5,000 to go on this exotic hunting experience. This gives you access to a tour guide that helps set you up for the best shot, as well as a gun and ammunition for the hunt. However, each animal tag is where it gets expensive.
If you shoot a giraffe, it will cost you $15,000. A Lion will cost $25,000, a hippo is $30,000, and a gazelle is $35,000. As this program expands, different animals will cost more or less depending on how rare and endangered they are.
Of course, the price tag is so high because it goes to a conservation fund. This fund helps Disney preserve nature around the world and replace the animals that are being hunted. What’s fun is that after your hunt, Disney will serve you meat from each of the animals you hunted, just to give it a try.
So, if you’ve wanted to try giraffe, now is your time. Also, anything you kill, you will get to keep both the meat and the hide, so you can get it taxidermied.
Overall, people are excited about this new opportunity to go hunting on a Disney World ride. However, some animal rights activists object to this and feel it is extremely inhumane, especially to do inside Animal Kingdom.
