However, the reasoning behind it makes sense. Mouse Trap News is often considered one of the best websites to ever exist on the internet. We aren’t saying that; the people are.

In fact, the site will likely be nominated for multiple Pulitzer Prizes because of its incredible investigative work and talented staff. But Disney isn’t buying them because of how amazing they are or because Disney wishes it could be that creative.

They are buying them because Mouse Trap News is notorious for making fun of stupid things that the Walt Disney Company might do. In fact, many of their wild stories have even come true and there will likely be many more that come true over the next few years.

We saw this with the Monsters, Inc. Door Ride, which we reported on back in 2023 here. Of course, Disney is not a fan of this website breaking news for them. They also aren’t a fan of being publicly mocked.

They followed the classic expression from Journey Into Imagination with Figment: if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. Instead of trying to beat one of the greatest companies in the world, Disney has decided to acquire them.

In fact, many experts are calling this the greatest acquisition Disney has ever made. They got a great deal and added another incredible company to their portfolio. Despite this acquisition, we will continue to make up incredible Disney news.
