After the photo, he started hugging Mickey, but wouldn’t let go. At Disney World and Disneyland there is rule where characters cannot break up a hug, it must be done by the guest. In this case, the hug went on for multiple minutes.

The guest mentioned that everyone watching could tell Mickey was getting frustrated. It was a hot day and he was clearly ready to take a break. After a roughly seven minute hug, the kid finally let go. Mickey started walking towards the backstage area.

As he was walking away, the kid ran back up to Mickey and tried jumping on him. Mickey shook him off and kept walking. Then, the kid started running at him again. That’s when Mickey finally had enough and kicked the kid.

This knocked him to the ground and he immediately started crying. Everyone in the area was now looking in this direction. Mickey Mouse and his handlers quickly rushed backstage. While this was happening, people started yelling at Mickey and the cast members around him.

According to an internal source, this event is being investigated by Disney as well as the Anaheim police. No charges have been pressed yet, but there will likely be criminal charges.
