Mickey Mouse blows up during a Fantasmic show. This was one of the scariest moments ever in the history of Fantasmic.
According to eyewitnesses, near the end of the show, Mickey was entering into one of his celebratory routines. However, something went grossly wrong, and Mickey blew up on stage. As soon as this happened, the stage went dark and the crowd fell silent.
Then, multiple kids and Disney adults burst into tears at the horror they just witnessed. According to one annual passholder, he said it was the saddest moment of his life, seeing Mickey Mouse get blown to pieces on stage.
Luckily, his kids were able to comfort him during the tough times. He said they set up a vigil inside their house to honor and pray for Mickey following this tragedy. According to an internal source, Disney is currently attempting to put all of the pieces of Mickey back together.
However, in the short term, he is being removed completely from Fantasmic. This is a real shame because Mickey is a key character of the Fantasmic show.
First, they lost the fireworks, which we reported on here. Now they’re losing Mickey Mouse at least for the near future. If Mickey doesn’t return within the next few months, he might never return.
