The new Carousel of Progress script has been leaked. Disney just announced that the classic ride will be getting an update that includes Walt Disney.
However, they will also be updating the final scene, including the script. Here is what the leaked script says, “Well, it’s the holiday season again. This year we’re celebrating Hannukkah, Christmas, and Kwanza with our blended family.”
The leaked script goes on, “Our child Pat is able to join us through a holographic video call. They are backpacking in Europe with their new partner, Sam. Our boy Jim is still living at home with us because the rent is just too darn high.”
It gets even crazier as it goes., “Grandma passed away, but because of today’s technology, we were able to bring her back to life with an artificial intelligence robot. This means that Grandma will never have to leave our side. Meanwhile, Grandpa is over there eating his special brownies. They really help keep him calm during these crazy holidays.”
So far, only John’s opening monologue has been leaked. The new scene is written to be more inclusive in the current times. But many people are calling it extremely woke.
This comes as a surprise, as many people thought Disney was starting to be less woke. It will be interesting to see what other updates they make to the ride.
