Disney World is adding tampons to the Men’s Restrooms. This is an effort by Disney to be more inclusive. They want to ensure that everyone has equitable access to menstrual products.
According to an official spokesperson, “Adding tampons to the men’s restroom provides a safer and more inclusive atmosphere for everyone. All people should have access to these products, regardless of their gender.”
However, many people see problems with this, much like Disney adding urinals to the women’s restrooms, which we reported on here. They don’t believe that tampons or other menstrual products belong in the men’s bathroom, especially at Disney World. In fact, they are asking why men would need tampons in the first place.
However, it’s getting a lot of support from politicians like Tim Walz. They are happy to see Disney taking a big step towards inclusivity. People believe that everyone should have free access to these products, much like in Minnesota.
Despite the support, this is clearly a controversial move by Disney. It’s almost as controversial as Disney charging people to pee in their bathrooms, which we reported on here.
It’s only a matter of time before Governor DeSantis weighs in on this decision. We expect him to be against it and potentially even sign a bill against this and force Disney to revert.
