Disney announces an animated version of the live-action Lion King. This new animated movie will follow the same storyline as the live-action version.

Disney is considering this one of their most creative and aspirational movies they will ever make. They are doing this because of the massive success of the live-action Lion King movie in 2019.

In fact, it was one of the highest grossing movies of all time at $1.6 billion globally. Because of that, Disney will bring this movie back to life using animation. It’s expected to be better than The Lion Queen, which we reported on here.

According to an official statement, “We are excited to bring an animated version of the live-action Lion King to the big screen. We have an unbelievable writing and directing team that will push creative boundaries and create one of the best movies ever.”

The quote goes on, “On top of that, we have an incredible cast lined up. This includes Matthew Broderick, Rowan Atkinson, an AI-recreated James Earl Jones voice, and many more.”

While people are excited for this new movie, they are confused by the decision. They are saying that the live-action Lion King is basically just a recreation of the original animated movie from 1994. So this is essentially just a recreation of the original movie.

However, an internal source says there will be tens of seconds of the flim that are different. The one thing we can all agree on is that this is a cash grab by Disney.
