Disney added a Fetty Wap song to the Enchanted Tiki Room. As of yesterday, the birds now sing Trap Queen as part of the show.
This is the first time Disney has changed the songs in the show since it originally opened in 1963 at Disneyland. They are doing this to lean more into current pop culture and appeal to a wider audience.
According to internal research, Fetty Wap is currently one of the most popular artists in the world. He appeals to all age groups and ethnicities during his resurgence. Meanwhile, the Enchanted Tiki Room is struggling to get people in the doors, despite being a classic attraction.
By adding Fetty Wap, they hope to increase the appeal of the show and get more people to visit it. Also, what’s cool is that if this is successful, they will expand it to even more artists. Many people are hoping that Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Rick Astley all have songs in the Enchanted Tiki Room.
In fact, the entire show could be rethemed to a pop concert where the birds sing songs from all of today’s top artists. This makes it far more exciting and fun to go to, and they can switch it up every few months, which will have people coming back for more.
Overall, Fetty Wap is one of the strongest artists they could have started with and the new show is getting incredible reviews already.
