Disney is adding a DMV inside the Magic Kingdom. They are adding this because moving forward, all guests will need a special driver’s license for the Tomorrowland Speedway.

In order to obtain that special license, they will need to go through this new DMV, which will be located in the Stitch’s Great Escape building. What’s awesome is that the employees will be dressed like sloths and will be themed to Zootopia.

This will be a normal DMV, so it will not operate on the weekends or federal holidays. Also, you will be able to renew your license plates, driver’s license, get a marriage license, and anything else you do at a DMV.

Unfortunately, the lines are expected to be extremely long for two reasons. First off, DMVs are always very slow. Second, it’s inside the Magic Kingdom, which is known for its long wait times. The good news is, Disney will offer Lightning Lane passes for this DMV so people can pay to skip the line.

This will be the first DMV in America to allow for line skipping if you pay. This is a really unique and amazing improvement to the DMV system and could lead to a nationwide change if successful.

Overall, people are not happy that they will need to go to a DMV inside Disney World. They believe that this will not be a good experience, but are hopeful that the theming is fun. This is almost as cool as the Mickey Mouse Colon House, which we reported on here.
