Breaking news, the Tower of Terror is getting a Muppet retheme. The new ride will be called Beaker and Bunsen Experiment Gone Wrong.

Guests will enter Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker’s top-secret laboratory. In the lab, they are working on a new experiment that turns humans into Muppets. However, as expected, when you enter the elevator shaft, things go bad when the wrong lever is pulled.

This sends guests into a freefall, rising and dropping fast, like the Tower of Terror. Like the existing ride, there will be a preshow, welcoming you into Beaker and Bunsen’s lab. Then, the boiler room will be rethemed to look like this laboratory.

Disney will also add a few screens to the ride itself to add to the story, much like Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! It will be filled with classic muppet humor as well, including appearances from Fozzie, Gonzo, Miss Piggy, Kermit, and of course, Statler and Waldorf.

According to an internal source, Disney has decided to completely retheme this area of the park to the Muppets. The first announcement for this was the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, which was well-received.

Because of that, Disney has now decided to also retheme the Tower of Terror, which many people consider to be outdated and stale. However, some people think that this is a bad move by Disney. They say that the Tower of Terror is a classic attraction and should not be rethemed.

They also believe that the Muppets should only have one ride at Disney World because they aren’t that popular anymore. Regardless, the story for the ride actually sounds fun and cool.
