Breaking news, Riley will be transgender in Inside Out 3. An internal source has confirmed to us that Riley will transition from female to male in Inside Out 3, Coming Out.

Here is what we know so far about the Inside Out 3 plotline. In a high school health class, Riley learns about transgenderism for the first time. Immediately after that class, she starts to question everything she knows.

She starts wondering if deep down she is actually a boy. After all, she has some tendencies to do and like things that boys typically like. That’s when she gets introduced to her newest emotion, pride.

Pride teams up with the other emotions, especially anxiety and sadness, with Riley struggling to fit in to her own body. They work together to help Riley through her coming out story.

She starts by telling her guidance counselor who encourages her to keep this from her parents and see a doctor. Riley’s emotions struggle with this information, but she proceeds anyway.

Eventually, the doctor prescribes her puberty blockers and this is when she finally comes out to her parents that she is transgender. Many parents are disappointed in this direction for Inside Out 3, Coming Out.

They say this is not appropriate for kids and will tank the series. However, others are in full support of this and say that it’s a great way to introduce kids to the difficulties of the real world. This is similar to the controversy around Moana being transgender, which we reported on here.
