Breaking news, a new script is coming to the Haunted Mansion. This new voiceover will be full of jokes and dry humor, just like the Jungle Cruise.
Currently, the Jungle Cruise is one of the most popular rides at the Magic Kingdom. People enjoy that ride because of its humor and fun experience. They want to bring that to the Haunted Mansion.
Currently, the script is stale and outdated, which is another reason why they want to update it. The good news is that Disney will use AI to recreate the current narrator’s voice. This is because Paul Frees, the narrator, has been dead for 40 years, but his voice is iconic on the ride.
So far, Disney has released a few of the jokes going into the new Haunted Mansion script. For example, here at the Haunted Mansion, they say the grass is always greener on the other side, but if you ask anyone in the cemetery, they’ll say it’s just dirt.
Another joke that is getting attention is, over here is our famous medium, Madame Leota. You may not have seen that coming, but she did. As you can tell, these jokes take the corniness of the Jungle Cruise and apply it to the Haunted Mansion.
There is even speculation that Disney has written over 100 jokes, so every ride is unique, like the Jungle Cruise.
