Breaking news, Disney confirms that Olaf isn’t gay. Ever since Frozen came out, there has been widespread, but unconfirmed speculation that Olaf is gay.
After all, he likes warm hugs, gets awfully personal with Sven, hangs out with princesses, and in general sounds gay. Many people were hoping for Frozen 3 to show the world that Olaf and Sven have a love interest.
However, Disney has just confirmed that it will not be the case. Disney says that Olaf is as straight as can possibly be, despite everything you see with your eyes. In fact, he may even find a female love interest in Frozen 3, an internal source teased to us.
It appears that Disney originally was planning to have Olaf come out as gay; however, due to cultural shifts, they have changed their position and are making him straight. This is not totally surprising, as originally Elsa was going to marry a woman in Frozen 3, which we reported on here; however, that has changed as well.
Much of this aligns with the current political climate and the amount of debate and controversy over this topic. As you might imagine, many people are excited about Disney not indoctrinating their kids.
However, others are mad that Disney is shying away from showing acceptance and love to kids and helping them learn about it at a young age.
