According to an official statement, “It is wrong to have a white male as the Disney CEO. Because of this, Bob Iger has decided to transition to a woman. Not only will he become the first woman CEO of Disney, but also the first transgender Disney CEO. From now on, she will go by Bobbi Iger. This is a huge step towards inclusion and representation.”
According to an internal source, Iger is not thrilled with this, nor is he looking forward to the pay cut coming his way, but he realizes it’s the only thing he can do to right a past wrong. After all, they made the bed and now they need to lie in it.
However, many people are complaining that this isn’t enough. Disney has a long history of white men as CEOs, starting with Walt Disney. This is seen as extremely problematic by many employees.
Some are suggesting that doctors and scientists should unfreeze Walt Disney and make him a woman as well. However, for now, demands are being made that The Walt Disney Company provide their employees with reparations because of these past injustices.
Many people are hopeful that Bob Iger transitioning to a woman will help increase their revenue as a company.
