Breaking news, Disney buys TikTok days before the ban. This means that TikTok will no longer be banned in the United States.
Now all of the creators that made farewell videos can feel silly about it. Disney purchased TikTok for $200 billion. This is more than they were originally planning to pay, however, it was an opportunity they couldn’t pass up. In fact, Disney was bidding against Elon Musk, Mr Beast, Donald Trump, and more to own TikTok in the United States.
Now that Disney has purchased TikTok, we will start to see some changes to the app. They will roll out a paid subscription service like Disney+ where people can pay to watch ad-free content. Disney will also upload their movies and shows on the app at a more expensive subscription tier.
On top of that, Disney will heavily push Disney influencers on the platform to draw more attention to their company. Also, according to an internal source, they may ban accounts like Mouse Trap News for being too good and too powerful.
However, it’s worth noting that when Disney takes over TikTok, if you die in one of their theme parks and use the app, Disney will not be liable. This is because of their terms and conditions.
