Breaking news, Disney Abu Dhabi will be a men only theme park. This is an extremely controversial decision by Disney.

First off, Disney just broke news that their 7th theme park in the world will be based in Abu Dhabi. They have yet to confirm many details about the park. For example, we don’t know the size, how many rides there will be, what the themed lands are, and so on.

However, the one thing we do know is that this new Disney park will be for men only. Also, they will not feature any women Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, etc. characters.

According to Human Rights Watch, there is substantial discrimination against women in the United Arab Emirates. However, it is worth noting that the status of women has improved over the years.

Despite this, Disney is still making it a man-only park. This is as controversial as Disney World implementing a white man tax, which we reported on here.

That is usually considered discrimination, but it’s targeted at a group of people that you can’t discriminate against, so it gets a pass. Meanwhile, the decision to make Disney Abu Dhabi for only men is creating a ton of outrage and backlash.

Only time will tell if Disney sticks with this decision or if they back down from it. So far, Disney Abu Dhabi is one of Disney’s most controversial decisions ever. It’s more controversial than making Elsa a lesbian in Frozen 3, which we reported on here.
