Breaking news, a Black Bear was spotted climbing Cinderella Castle today. According to eyewitnesses, he was seen looking up in the air and walking along the ledges. This bear quickly got the nickname, Beary Poppins.

Disney Cast Members and security blocked off areas of the park close to the castle while they waited for animal control to arrive.

They wanted to make sure that guests were far away in case the bear jumped down from Cinderella Castle, as they didn’t want anyone to be attacked. Once animal control arrived, they proceeded to shoot the bear with a tranquilizer in order to take control of the situation.
However, that was not successful and just angered the bear. It proceeded to hop down from the castle and start charging at the guests and onlookers. Because of this, animal control brought out shotguns to try to neutralize the threat.
Their shot was successful, and Beary Poppins laid down peacefully for eternal rest. Immediately, Cast Members and security made a circle around the black bear to hide it from the view of guests as they cleaned up the mess.
Animal Control took the dead bear through the Utilidoors underground in order to remove it from the park with the fewest people seeing it. Animal rights activists are planning a protest because of the inhumane treatment of the bear. They didn’t feel that the bear needed to be killed just for enjoying a day at Disney World.
