Bob Chapek was just announced as the new president of Disney. This is because of the massive success and high approval ratings he had as the Disney CEO.
This announcement comes just days after Disney announced that Josh D’Amaro will be the new CEO. According to an internal source, the Disney board of directors voted unanimously to name Bob Chapek the president of the company.
He will report directly to Josh D’Amro and the board of directors. They expect him to thrive in this new role as president and pick up right where he left off as CEO, making some of the biggest decisions for the future of the company.
However, as you might imagine, most Disney fans are not happy about this. They think Chapek was the all-time worst Disney CEO. They are mad at all of the price increases that he put into place, as well as Genie+, which is one of the worst systems ever.
He also started charging guests for parking at resorts, removed the Magical Express, and decreased room service. He also seemed to care less about the guest experience and the magic of the Disney parks. Basically, everything he touched, he ruined, according to many.
Now, he is back in a high-up role at Disney as the president of the company, and people are not happy about it at all.
