The backside of water joke is being removed from the Jungle Cruise. There are two reasons they are removing this joke, and people are not happy about it.

First, many guests find the joke offensive. They feel like the joke is insensitive to people who can’t afford to drink water or don’t have access to water. The skippers are making a joke about water, which they don’t feel is appropriate when people around the world don’t have access to clean drinking water.
The other reason is because of climate change concerns. Disney is wasting thousands of gallons of water a day with that gimmick. They believe that this is leading to climate change, and they want to do better. Because of this, Disney has decided to turn off the Schweitzer Falls water and remove the jokes.
Instead, they will tell these two jokes. “This is the famous Schweitzer Rock, named after the famous explorer, Dr. Albert Rock.” Then, when going under the backside of water, they will say, “Ladies and gentlemen, it’s the eighth wonder of the world, the underside of a rock”.
According to an internal source, Disney has tested these jokes out with multiple consumer testing groups, and they all reacted positively to the new jokes. However, there is a lot of disappointment already about Disney changing the jokes. People don’t think this joke was offensive and are sad that more good jokes are being removed from the ride.
