The state of Florida has officially taken over Disney World. This means that Governor DeSantis and his government will now run the theme parks.
This may signal the end of the lengthy battle between DeSantis and Disney. According to official court documents, the state of Florida has gained complete control of Disney World. They are now in charge of operating the theme parks as well as maintaining the entire Disney World property.
As you might imagine, this decision has a lot of people afraid. In fact, we saw many guests crying in the Magic Kingdom today when the news broke. There is even a memorial being put up in front of where Cinderella Castle once was. The fear is that Ron DeSantis will ruin Disney World and turn it into a hateful place.
On the other hand, many guests are excited about this news. They are tired of Disney making poor decisions like removing the dwarfs from Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. There are even talks of DeSantis canceling Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and returning it to Splash Mountain.
While the state of Florida hasn’t announced any plans yet, they did roll out their official slogan, “Make Disney World Great Again”. According to a source familiar with the matter, they want to make Disney a place for families again.
