Disney is requiring all guests to purchase Lightning Lane. Starting later this year, everyone will be required to buy Lightning Lane along with their park tickets.

That means each day, it will cost an extra $15-$45 per person, depending on the crowd levels. However, the good news is everyone will be able to use the Lightning Lane lines again. Currently, only people who purchased Lightning Lane get to skip the lines.

Now, since everyone is required to buy it, everyone will be able to have Lightning Lane passes. This is similar to how it used to be with Fastpass+, which many people consider the best line-skipping system Disney has ever had.

Disney is mandating this purchase to make their theme parks more fair and equitable. Many guests were fed up with only select people being able to skip the lines. Now, everyone can do it, which is a much more fair system.

However, some people point out that this is the worst possible solution. Now, Disney is forcing you to pay more money to go to their parks, and the Lightning Lane lines are going to be longer than ever. They would prefer that either everyone gets Lightning Lane passes for free like Fastpass+ or the current system where you can buy it if you want, but it isn’t required.

They suggest that this is just a way for Disney to make even more money off of each individual person. This is expected to cost families an extra $100 per day on average.
