Gang violence is on the rise at Disney World. In fact, the murder rate inside Disney is going way up because of this. For those not familiar, Disneyland and Disney World have gangs.
These are adults with Disney tattoos, pins, and leather jackets. These gangs have nice names like Br’er Bikers and Slinky Dog Slash. However, much like in Chicago, the gangs don’t get along and can be extremely violent.
Like any gang, they want to exert control over the other gangs. This oftentimes resorts to violence between the gangs. Intially this started as minor scuffles like fights over popcorn buckets and cutting in line. However, it has gotten far worse over time.
Now, these gangs are defending different parts of the park. As you might imagine, the Br’er Bikers have an established land grab of Frontierland, despite Splash Mountain’s closure. However, just yesterday the Tiana Trackers entered Frontierland and all bets were off.
A huge shootout happened between the gangs, leading to a few people seriously injured. Because of this, many people are calling for Disney to rethink their open-carry policy. However, others claim that it’s the people, not the guns.
Many activists are calling for Disney to control the gangs. This could include banning them from the park or adding more security. The one thing we know is Disney World and Disneyland are becoming extremely unsafe because of these Disney gangs.
