All park hours moving forward will follow this time zone, and they will not turn the clock back again in the fall. They are doing this in hopes of starting a movement across America to abandon daylight saving time forever.

They believe that the hour ahead is the optimal timing and it should be followed by everyone, year-round. While this makes a lot of sense, it opens the door to a lot of problems.

During daylight savings, this will not be an issue. However, when everyone else sets their clocks back in the fall, Disney World will be an hour ahead. That will likely create a lot of confusion among guests, especially those who don’t realize that a change has been made.

For example, in November, the Magic Kingdom will open at 9 AM, which will be 8 AM according to everyone who set their clock back an hour. This will likely lead to a lot of visitors being late and missing the opening because they have the wrong time.

Also, this will throw off people when they have a Lightning Lane pass or want to watch the fireworks or parade, because their phone time will be different from the Disney World park time.

Not to mention all of the employees who are going to have to deal with this on a daily basis. However, many people are optimistic that this will create change across America to ultimately end daylight saving time.
