Disney World is making all bathrooms gender neutral. This means that men and women will all share the same bathrooms in the parks.

While this is controversial, there are three main reasons they are doing this. The first reason is for gender equality. It’s well-known that the line for women’s restrooms are longer than the line for men’s.

This is a sign of gender inequality and the patriarchy at work. By making all bathrooms gender neutral, it removes this discrimination from the parks. The second reason is to provide a safe place for transgender guests.
Disney wants to reduce the stigma around bathrooms, especially for transgender visitors. This helps with that and allows those visitors to feel more comfortable inside the theme parks. It also prevents other guests from discriminating against them and making them not feel welcome.
Lastly, this is a cost-saving measure. Disney bathrooms are extremely expensive to build and maintain because of the number of them. By making bathrooms gender neutral, they will be able to close some bathrooms and build fewer down the road.
Despite these benefits, many people are not happy about this. In fact, many parents don’t want their kids to go into a bathroom that is shared by all genders. On top of that, many women don’t feel comfortable with men invading their private spaces.
