Disney World is limiting everyone to four rides per day. However, you will have the option to pay for additional rides.

Disney will pay guests to not stand in line
Disney will limit guests to four free rides per day

Starting next week, you will need to scan your MagicBand at every ride you go on. This will then count against your limit of four free rides each day.

If you want to go on more than four rides, you can purchase additional rides in your My Disney Experience app. The first additional ride will start at $4 per person. Then each additional ride will cost at least $2 more.

So if you are going on your tenth ride in the day, that ride alone will cost you $14. All in, the cost to ride 10 rides would $54 per person. Of course, with anything at Disney World, the prices will fluctuate based on crowd sizes.

For example, around Christmas, the starting price for additional rides will likely be $6-8 and cost an additional $3-4 per ride. This is an effort to be more equitable to all guests. Currently Disney World has a flawed system where those who go all the time can get on more rides than people who are going for their first time.

By giving everyone four free rides per day then charging for additional rides, they hope to balance out how many rides each person gets on. The idea is that people who go a lot will be less inclined to pay and those who are first timers will be more likely to pay, thus balancing out the average ride distribution per guest.
