The reason that Disney is banning strollers in their parks is because they are a nuisance to guests. In fact, according to internal surveys, strollers are oftentimes ranked as the second most annoying thing at Disney World.

Of course, this is behind Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which continues to be a least favorite amongst guests. From this point on, all children need to either walk or be carried around the Disney parks. Anyone who tries to get in with a stroller will be turned away.

This news has devastated many parents. That’s because they want to take their kids to Disney World, but they can’t carry them all day, and their kids can’t walk, especially in the heat and busy crowds. However, many Disney adults are happy with this.

They are tired of being hit by strollers and forced to dodge them every day. This is another instance of Disney appealing to their adult consumers more. It’s in line with them making EPCOT an adult-only park, which we reported on here.

Only time will tell if Disney continues to move away from their core consumers, which are families. This is yet another step in that controversial direction.
