Disney World announces Discrimination Days. On these days, anyone who is white will not be allowed in their theme parks. This is an effort to provide a safe space free from discrimination either now or in the past.
The idea is to repair current and past injustices against non-whites in the United States. According to an official statement, “We are excited to announce Discrimination Days. On these days, only guests who are non-white or identify as non-white will be allowed inside Disney World theme parks. We want to give guests the best experience and what better way to do that than with Discrimination Days.”
Disney will use patented DNA testing software to determine whether or not someone is white and can be allowed in the parks. However, it’s worth noting that people who identify as non-white will be allowed in. In fact, many are seeing this as a potential loophole.
While Disney may do a DNA test to confirm whether or not you are white, you may be able to get in as long as you say you identify as non-white. The reason people believe this is because they don’t think Disney will discriminate against how someone self-identifies, only their race.
We are seeing something similar with Women Only Days at Disney World, which we reported on here. So far, many white women have taken to Facebook to complain about these new days calling it reverse discrimination.
