Disney World is adding high-speed moving walkways to their parks. These walkways will be placed throughout their parks to help improve the traffic flow.

However, many people are worried about the safety of these walkways. They will reach speeds up to 15 miles per hour, which is essentially the speed of a person sprinting.

Guests will need to exit and enter the walkways while they are moving at that speed. However, there will be on and off-ramps like freeways. This will help people get on and off more safely, especially those with strollers.
These new moving walkways will cost Disney $50 million to install across their parks. All parks will have a moving walkway that goes around the perimeter and through the center of the park. Then, each land will have on-ramps and off-ramps.
Luckily, there will be cast members at the on and off-ramps to help guests get used to these moving walkways initially. There will even be practice walkways for people to prepare and train for them.
This is especially important because there are a lot of people at Disney World who don’t know how to walk. From randomly cutting people off to aimlessly wandering, there are a lot of people who will need training for these new high-speed moving walkways.
