Breaking news, Disney World will close on Christmas and New Year’s. This will be the first time since Disney opened in 1971 that they will be closed on these holidays.

In fact, these are usually the two busiest days of the year for them. Because of that, they often raise the ticket prices and Lightning Lane prices to their highest points of the year. So why would they be closing on these holidays?

According to an internal source, the Walt Disney Company has made too much money this year, but they haven’t had their two busiest days yet. They’ve made so much money from raising the ticket prices and Lightning Lane prices.
If they are open on Christmas and New Year’s, they are going to increase their revenue by 20%. However, that will require them to pay far more taxes than the money those days would bring in.
In order to avoid paying these additional taxes, they have decided to close Disney World on these two days. Initially, people thought Disney was doing this so their Cast Members could spend the holidays with their families; however, of course, that isn’t the case.
Overall, people aren’t happy about this, as many people visit the parks yearly on Christmas and New Year’s to celebrate there.
This is especially frustrating for those who are traveling from another state to visit. Luckily, the Disney World resorts will still be open, and they will offer fun activities for the families, like finger painting and watching movies!
