The average cost of a Disney trip reaches $40,000, according to a new report. This is a massive increase from 2010, when the average cost was only $10,000.

This report is based on a one-week trip to Disney World, taking the average cost of over 1,000 families. The drastic rise in hotel, ticket, merchandise, food, and drink prices has led to this insane average cost.

Hotel and Ticket prices have seen the sharpest increase. Most hotels are at least $700 per night. Meanwhile, a one-day ticket is well over $200. Not to mention, Lightning Lane is at least $20 per person per day, if you want to actually get on rides.
In fact, this news is shocking to most people and appears to be why the parks are emptier than usual. If you look at the wait times at the Disney World parks this summer, they are down compared to past years.
This is because people are starting to get priced out of Disney World. It’s becoming too expensive for the everyday American family. Many people are upset that Disney has become so expensive and unaffordable compared to what it used to be.
Meanwhile, others are happy to see the parks not as busy and hope that Disney continues to price more people out.
